Biography

A Shepherd’s Calling

As Presiding Bishop & Chief Servant, Bishop Charles B. Paige carries the spiritual oversight and pastoral heart of the Connection. His calling is one of service — to strengthen pastors, to guard sound doctrine, and to gather independent deliverance churches into one covenant family.

With more than four decades in the Gospel — 42+ years in ministry, 39+ years of pastoral experience, and 25+ years in Christian education — his leadership is marked by a shepherd’s patience and a builder’s vision. He leads the fellowship in its founding purpose: a spiritual home and a national voice, advancing the Kingdom of God with freedom, holiness, and power. Under his servant-leadership, the Connection pursues unity that is chosen and holy — churches joined not by hierarchy, but by covenant.

His ministry stands within a heritage of faithful leadership, honoring the pioneers of the deliverance movement — including its founder, Bishop Joseph A. Wilkinson, Sr. (1935–1995) — and carrying their witness into a new generation. As Presiding Prelate & Chief Servant, Bishop Paige casts a forward vision for the Connection: a permanent national home, a Board of Presbyters representing the states and territories, and thriving covenant churches in all fifty states.

That vision rests on four convictions the Bishop returns to again and again — Deliverance, Holiness, Power, and Purpose — held together by one enduring charge: One Faith · One Vision · One Mission · Impacting Generations.
